The international research project is currently led by scholars from the University of Coimbra and the University of Pennsylvania and its Museum. The project leaders work in close collaboration with the Iraqi Kurdish authorities, through the Sulaimaniyah Directorate of Antiquities and the General Directorate of Antiquities in Erbil. In addition, the scientific team consists of specialists from a range of European and American universities.
